Melo came to us from a local shelter where he was time stamped due to kennel stress and anxiety. Before the shelter he was found abandoned in a crate crying for help. Melo is a medium sized mix breed dog, he is about 2 years old and is about 56 lbs but could use a little meat on his bones. He is super sweet and wants to be part of a family/house! He is potty trained and crate trained. He knows sit, stay, and paw. We are working on lay down and he could use some leash work. He is good with other dogs and is just super sweet. He seems to like swimming in the pool and likes to run around the yard. He has a lot of energy, but will calm down and lay on his bed when needed. He LOVES to swim!!

All animals adopted from us will be spayed or neutered, dewormed for parasites, current with vaccines for their age and microchipped. Dogs will have tested negative for heartworms and given monthly heartworm, flea & tick prevention. Cats will have tested negative for FELV OR FIV and given Revolution monthly

 

The general adoption process is as follows:

Once we receive your application, the TLC Animal Rescue Board of Directors will review it to see if the animal you are interested in may be compatible with your family.
Once your application has been screened, we will arrange a meet and greet with you and your family members (including pets) and the animal you are interested in.
During this time, one of our adoption coordinators will be contacting your references and your veterinarian to verify if your pets are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines.  If the meet and greet was successful, and any other potential adopters have been ruled out, we will schedule a home check and move ahead with the adoption.
