Please welcome Tootsie or as her nickname states, Tootsie Banana

Tootsie is a fully vetted 2 yr old retriever , pit mix who was surrendered sadly due to the other dog in the home being aggressive to her. She is said to be good with other dogs (big and small) and kids. She would need to be cat tested. 

she is settling in very nicely with the other large female dog in the home and is said to be very sweet by her foster momma.

Tootsie just joined us this past week so her foster family is still learning all about her and we can’t wait to hear more updates about this sweet girl

Miss Tootsie Banana is looking for her forever home!!! 

As she has continued to settle she does have some guarding opportunities that need to be continued to be worked on when she goes home. Tootsie guards her toys from other dogs so we are also saying older kids just to be safe. 

Tootsie is currently living with her foster sister who is a large breed female dog. She is said to be good with small dogs and children as well from what her surrendering family told us. Her foster mom continues to report that she is a fun loving silly girl that loves attention ❤️

All animals adopted from us will be spayed or neutered, dewormed for parasites, current with vaccines for their age and microchipped. Dogs will have tested negative for heartworms and given monthly heartworm, flea & tick prevention. Cats will have tested negative for FELV OR FIV and given Revolution monthly

The general adoption process is as follows:

Once we receive your application, the TLC Animal Rescue Board of Directors will review it to see if the animal you are interested in may be compatible with your family.
Once your application has been screened, we will arrange a meet and greet with you and your family members (including pets) and the animal you are interested in.
During this time, one of our adoption coordinators will be contacting your references and your veterinarian to verify if your pets are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines.  If the meet and greet was successful, and any other potential adopters have been ruled out, we will schedule a home check and move ahead with the adoption.
