I look at this beautiful, stunning dog and get so frustrated that she is still searching for her forever home. She almost had it and then people failed her again. Laney is amazing. Laney is such a goofy goober. Her eyes say it all. She is loyal to the end and currently I am her world. When I get home she leaps and bounces like her bunny rabbit counterparts do. But I am not her final home. As her foster momma, I am to place her with the BEST possible home. Sadly we have had a few great possibilities but none have panned out. Laney would make a perfect hiking partner. She is a great reminder that you are someone’s everything, you’ll be her everything, she just wants to be yours! 

Laney is currently living with my husband and I and our 3 kids. Kids living with Laney just need to know to respect her space. Our oldest has a morning routine and lets her out of her crate and feeds her breakfast. Another foster mom‘s older daughter used to walk her all the time and loved her kids. As any dog, she does not like to be sat on or have her bones taken away by children with no structure around animals. She did live with a male dog but is female selective and no cats as she has a high prey drive. Laney has met many strangers since being here and does beautifully with everyone she meets so far. She is extremely treat and food motivated and is crate trained.

All animals adopted from us will be spayed or neutered, dewormed for parasites, current with vaccines for their age and microchipped. Dogs will have tested negative for heartworms and given monthly heartworm, flea & tick prevention. Cats will have tested negative for FELV OR FIV and given Revolution monthly

The general adoption process is as follows:

Once we receive your application, the TLC Animal Rescue Board of Directors will review it to see if the animal you are interested in may be compatible with your family.
Once your application has been screened, we will arrange a meet and greet with you and your family members (including pets) and the animal you are interested in.
During this time, one of our adoption coordinators will be contacting your references and your veterinarian to verify if your pets are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines.  If the meet and greet was successful, and any other potential adopters have been ruled out, we will schedule a home check and move ahead with the adoption.
