Baloo is an older guy, about 6 years old. He came to rescue after being rescued from a local resident who saw kids abusing him and took him to the shelter. He is very affectionate, but likes his space. Due to his interactions with horrible humans, he has to warm up to you before he can trust you. He does not like to be picked up at this time, however, he loves his head being petted & scratched. He lives with 2 dogs and 2 other cat in his foster home. He doesn't seem to be a fan of their 60 lb dog. When the other cats try to see him they just seem to stare at each other but he doesn't seem to mind them so much. He loves getting treats and has no problem using the litter box. His foster mom is continuing to work with him and hopefully he will learn to trust humans again. All animals adopted from us will be spayed or neutered, dewormed for parasites, current with vaccines for their age and microchipped. Dogs will have tested negative for heartworms and given monthly heartworm, flea & tick prevention. Cats will have tested negative for FELV OR FIV and given Revolution monthly

The general adoption process is as follows:

Once we receive your application, the TLC Animal Rescue Board of Directors will review it to see if the animal you are interested in may be compatible with your family.
Once your application has been screened, we will arrange a meet and greet with you and your family members (including pets) and the animal you are interested in.
During this time, one of our adoption coordinators will be contacting your references and your veterinarian to verify if your pets are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines.  If the meet and greet was successful, and any other potential adopters have been ruled out, we will schedule a home check and move ahead with the adoption.
