American Pit Bull Terrier (short coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult Learn more about the American Pit Bull Terrier.
Bella came to rescue from a local shelter after her family surrendered her due to financial reasons. She is super sweet and loves people and other dogs. She does not like cats. She is recovering from nerve damage in her hind legs which occurred during her spay surgery. She is currently doing physical therapy once a week at St. Francis Animal Hospital in Woolwich Twp, NJ. She was paralyzed for a few weeks after her surgery but is now walking again. However, her gait is not 100%. She hops and wobbles. We are hoping after the nerves heal she will walk normally again. However, Dr's are not sure at this time. Nerve damage takes months to heal. She does love therapy though and does seem to be improving.
